Roles and Responsibilities
Elise Olding is a research director in Gartner's Business Process Management (BPM) group. Ms. Olding provides research on a worldwide basis, advising clients on BPM implementation practices. Her areas of focus include the current and future state of BPM, methodologies, organizational models, change management and communications strategies, and proven approaches to grow BPM disciplines within client organizations.
Previous Experience
Ms. Olding brings more than 20 years of experience working in the areas of business, process, systems and change management. Her experience includes roles in many industries, such as apparel, manufacturing, retail, financial services and high tech. Her business transformation efforts have included a focus on organizational readiness and communications to achieve successful adoption. Ms. Olding knows the importance of practical advice and approaches that can be tailored to work within the unique environment of various companies. She developed those skills through her many years of hands-on experience. With her extensive executive interface and strategic planning experience, she can provide the insights and tactics to ensure that clients' BPM initiative goals are achieved.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Olding held leadership roles at some of the top companies in the U.S. Most recently, she worked at Safeway as the director of IT Strategic Planning, and prior to that she was the leader of the Transformation Services organization. At Charles Schwab, she was the VP of Finance Strategic Consulting. At Hurwitz Group, she was a VP of Research for the Knowledge, eLearning and Collaborative Services area. Furthermore, she spent 12 years at Levi Strauss and Co., where she held a number of positions, including IT auditor, systems analyst, and IT testing manager, as well as strategic consultant, in which she was responsible for two business process re-engineering teams. She also has five years of experience in banking as an IT and operations auditor, gaining a wealth of experience documenting and standardizing processes.
